KlangFolk e.V. is a non-profit NGO dedicated to nurturing and supporting vibrant community projects, some of which have been thriving for over 10 years.
Our weekly workshops are free and open to everyone, inviting individuals from all walks of life to join us. We take pride in the diversity of our participants and volunteers, who come from various countries, including non-European ones. Our members range in age from 16 to 85, and bring all levels of musical experience—from none at all to seasoned musicians.
For just 1 Euro a month, you can become a member of our NGO and have a voice in our democratic organization. We’re committed to keeping this open and inclusive approach alive for everyone, though we have faced challenges with sponsorship and community support, especially after the pandemic.
Our NGO focuses on three enriching areas:
- TüFolk: A welcoming orchestra where we learn and share global tunes by ear, embracing the spirit of the global ethno movement. Learn more.
- Música con Señas: A creative space where we explore musical improvisation using a unique language of 130 hand signals, connecting with a global practice known as Ritmo con Señas. Learn more.
- Balfolk: Engaging, traditional dances from across the World, with simple steps that make it easy for everyone to join in the fun. Learn more.
