Italienischer Musik Workshop

Ziel des Workshops ist es, einige Melodien aus dem traditionellen Repertoire des Piemont (Norditalien) gemeinsam zu spielen. Nachdem wir die Melodien und Harmonien nach Gehör gelernt haben, werden wir ein einfaches Melodienarrangement vorbereiten, das es allen Musikern ermöglicht, ihren Platz im Ensemble zu finden und zum Klang beizutragen.

Der Workshop ist offen für alle Instrumente.

Wo: FRANZ!werk bei den Pferdeställen 8, 72072 Tübingen

Wann: Der Workshop ist in zwei Teile gegliedert, die vormittags zwischen 10 und 13 Uhr und nachmittags zwischen 15 und 18 Uhr stattfinden. Er ist auf Spendenbasis, ein Beitrag von 20-30 Euro wird jedoch empfohlen.

Nicolò Bottasso ist ein Geiger, Trompeter und Arrangeur. Er begann schon als Kind Folkmusik mit der Geige zu spielen. Er studierte die traditionelle okzitanische Musik und entwickelte dann andere volkstümliche Geigenstile. Im Jahr 2016 schloss er sein Violinstudium am Conservatorio G. Verdi di Torino ab. Neben der Geige hat er Trompete und Jazz studiert und sein Studium im Fach Jazztrompete am Conservatorio G. Verdi di Torino abgeschlossen. Er studierte osmanische Musik bei Michalis Kouloumis und Jazz bei Jarmo Hoogendijk und Jan Van Duikeren am CODARTS (Rotterdam, Niederlande). Er spielte auf vielen internationalen Festivals mit Duo Bottasso, Stygiens und Tradalp und arbeitete als Arrangeur, Dirigent und Musiker mit Folkestra&Folkoro, einem 40-köpfigen Orchester, in dem sich Folk, Jazz und zeitgenössische Musik vermischen. Er hat „Crescendo“ und „Biserta e altre storie“ mit dem Duo Bottasso aufgenommen, „Si scrive Med in Itali“ mit Med In Itali, „The slow session“ mit dem Jazzquintett „The Slow Beasts“ und „TradAlp“ mit dem Ensemble TradAlp

ITALIAN MUSIC WORKSHOP

 Saturday 26^th November 2022

The goal of the workshop is to share some tunes from the traditional repertoire of Piedmont (Northern Italy). After learning by ear the melodies and the harmonies, we will prepare a simple tune arrangement allowing all the musicians to find their space in the ensemble and to contribute to its sound.
The workshop is open to all instruments.

When? The workshop will be divided into two parts, that will take place between 10 and 13 in the morning and 15 and 18 in the afternoon. The workshop is donation based but a contribution of 20-30 euros is suggested.

Nicolò Bottasso is a violinist, trumpetist and arranger. He started playing the violin, studying Occitan traditional music, and then developed other folk violin styles. In 2016 he graduated in violin at the Conservatorio G.Verdi di Torino. Along with the violin, he has studied trumpet and jazz and graduated in jazz trumpet at the Conservatorio G.Verdi di Torino. He has studied Ottoman music with Michalis Kouloumis and jazz with Jarmo Hoogendijk and Jan Van Duikeren at CODARTS (Rotterdam, Netherlands). He has played in many international festivals with Duo Bottasso, Stygiens and Tradalp and worked as arranger, conductor and musician with Folkestra&Folkoro, a 40-piece orchestra in which folk, jazz and contemporary music blend. He has recorded ”Crescendo” and “Biserta e altre storie” with Duo Bottasso, ”Si scrive Med in Itali” with Med In Itali, “The slow session” with the jazz quintet, “The Slow Beasts,” and ”TradAlp” with the TradAlp ensemble
