Worldwide Welshman and Friends

Worldwide Welshman is the alias of Welsh pan-global-alt-pop artist, Liam Rickard. Since around 2015, Worldwide Welshman and his ever-evolving band have been entertaining audiences throughout Europe and beyond with their multi-lingual, tragi-comic, folk-pop anthems and jazzed up Welsh folk songs. Worldwide Welshman has collaborated with musicians from all over the world and has participated in many international folk music camps. Liam’s songs draw on stories from his travels and global musical influences, and touch upon a broad range of themes from face-cream to space tourism.
Liam first came to Tübingen in 2017, and has been back many times since then to perform auf der strasse and in various house projects across the town, usually joined by local legends from Tübingen’s vibrant world music scene. In Spring 2025, Worldwide Welshman released his debut studio album, “Stuck in Belgium” which has been very well received by fans in the Dyfi Valley and beyond. Worldwide Welshman can’t wait to get the Tübingen band back together and play some classic WWW songs, songs from the new album, and new material!
